AQUACULTURED PAVONA CACTUS FRAG

Pavona cactus is a fun addition to a mixed or SPS dominant reef scape. It grows in such an unique twisted, thin blade form. 

It can handle moderate to high lighting areas. The flow will dictate its shape as it grows out. Maintain stable parameters of Calcium, KH and ensure magnesium is in a 3.2 ratio to your Calcium level to avoid porecipitation (3.1 - 3.4 x your Calcium seems to show best results). This coral is one of the longest standing pieces in our Aquacultured collection, having been one of the very first corals in the Gallery Aquatica display tank in December 2014. It grows fairly quickly due to its thin skeleton and can be easily pruned back to suit whatever direction you would like it to grow in. Interestingly, there is a mimic of this coral which is not even the same Genus - its a Leptoseris! A cool example of convergent evolution.
