Shipping policy

1.                  Livestock and Corals

1.1.      Please note that there are some locations in remote/country postcodes where we cannot deliver livestock and corals.

1.2.      We only ship livestock and corals from Airport to Airport due to the risky nature of shipping via local Couriers.

1.3.      We utilise several courier companies including Australia Post and Fastway.

1.4.      For areas outside our standard shipping pricing, once we know what you would like to order and the relevant address at the destination Airport, please email us at shop@galleryaquatica.com.au for a precise shipping quote.

1.5.      Title and risk of the livestock and corals shall pass to you (the Buyer) upon receiving the order.

1.6.      You must be present and ready to receive the order at the relevant address at the destination Airport at the agreed date and time.

1.7.      If you are not present upon delivery, our live guarantee will be void as stipulated in Gallery Aquatica’s Terms and Conditions – Livestock and Corals.

1.8.      You are obligated to inspect the livestock and/or corals immediately upon receiving and shall notify Gallery Aquatica within the same day of delivery if the livestock arrived damaged or dead.

1.9.      In the event that the livestock and/or corals arrive dead, consistent with Gallery Aquatica’s Terms and Conditions – Livestock and Corals, you must provide us with photographic evidence (while the livestock and/or coral is still in sealed in the bag with Gallery Aquatica’s delivery tags on it) email it to shop@galleryaquatica.com.au within 12 hours of receiving the delivery. Failure to do so will result in any warranty being void.

1.10.    Freight delays or shipping damages are beyond our control and Gallery Aquatica cannot be held responsible for any damages or delays caused by the courier or freight company.

1.11.    Please note that owing to legal restrictions existing from State to State, Gallery Aquatics does not ship live fish to the following locations:

  • Northern Territory – dry goods only;
  • Tasmania – dry goods only; and
  • West Australia – dry goods only.

 

  1. Dry Goods

2.1       Dry goods can be shipped Australia wide.

2.2       All dry goods are shipped via Australia Post or Fastway couriers depending on your location.

2.3       For areas outside our normal shipping zones, once we know what you would like to order and your address, please email us at shop@galleryaquatica.com.au for a precise shipping quote.

 

  1. Dispatch days

3.1       All livestock and coral orders are dispatched as soon as possible.

3.2       All orders will usually be shipped from our facility within 7 business days of full payment.

3.3       Any delays for any reason will be communicated to you via email.

3.4       Please note that during the pandemic we will do what we can towards shipping but are reliant upon the courier and freighting companies abilities.

 

  1. Livestock packaging

4.1       We pack all livestock and corals in a Styrofoam box and in appropriately sized bags using oxygen. We double bag them to help prevent leakages.

4.2       We may also add a heat pack or cooling pack, depending on the species of livestock and the weather.

 

  1. Tracking Information

5.1.      Tracking Information will be sent to you email that you used in your order. This is generally done at the end of day after the package is sent.

 

  1. Other terms and conditions

6.1.      Livestock and corals must be paid in full before they are shipped.

6.2.      Livestock and corals remain the property of Gallery Aquatica until paid in full.

6.3.      Laws covering aquatic life vary from State to State and are subject to change. Please check with your fisheries department if you are unsure. Responsibility lies with the you (the Buyer).

6.4.      Fish lengths are measured nose to tail and sized may vary slightly. 

6.5.      Once packages are picked up by a courier service, timing of delivery is not under the control of Gallery Aquatica. Please contact the relevant courier and/or freight company with your tracking number for inquiries about delivery times.
