Acropora

Acropora is the branching SPS genus most reefers work up to — tenuis, millepora, spathulata and staghorn forms, in the colours that make a mature reef tank. Ours are aquacultured rather than wild-collected, so they are already adapted to aquarium lighting and flow.

Acropora wants the most stable conditions of anything in the hobby: steady alkalinity, strong PAR and plenty of random flow. It suits a tank that is already dialled in rather than a new setup. If you are still establishing stability, start with LPS or zoanthids and come back to acros later.
